Connector
Shopify as a pipeline source
Shopify's GraphQL Admin API is the modern path; older REST endpoints exist in some connectors and are being phased out. For Shopify Plus deployments, webhook-volume pricing adds a line that vendors do not surface in their list prices.source - pulled 2026-06-21
Coverage by vendor
| Vendor | Status | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Fivetran | Native (GraphQL + REST) | Both APIs supported; deepest object coverage |
| Airbyte | Native (GraphQL) | Migrated to GraphQL in 2025; OSS + Cloud |
| Stitch | Native (REST) | REST-based - confirm migration plan with Stitch support |
| Hevo | Native | Event-priced; webhook integration available |
| Estuary | Native (webhook) | Real-time via Shopify webhooks |
| Portable | Native | Flat $200/mo regardless of order volume |
Shopify in detail
A 1M-order / month store with hourly sync produces ~24M MAR-equivalent on Fivetran (~$1,200 subscription line) or ~$650 on Airbyte Cloud. The warehouse-compute line on top is roughly 35% of those numbers on Snowflake; budget accordingly.
For reverse-ETL into Shopify (personalisation, inventory updates), Hightouch and Census both handle Shopify-specific concerns (variant IDs, metafields). Direct GraphQL writes via Airbyte are not the right path.
